INDEXERS' HALL of FAME

In most cases, it is impossible to determine just how many notices an individual indexer has submitted. But we do know that these indexers have each indexed more than 100,000 entries.

Beverley Du Boix

Maurie Dukes

Sybil Jones

Alan Nancarrow

We also know when indexers started to submit entries, and this table pays tribute to our indexers with the longest continuous service.

1

Sybil Jones

Sybil submitted the first data for Ryerson, on Sunday 11th October 1998. Since then, she has indexed the Daily Telegraph six days per week, every week.

2

Neville Arrowsmith

Neville was one of the initial indexers, taking on the Sydney Morning Herald each Thursday. Neville submitted his first data on Thursday 5th November 1998, and has continued to index the Thursday Herald ever since.

3

Pauline Kettle

Pauline was one of the initial indexers, taking on the Sydney Morning Herald each Wednesday. Pauline submitted her first data on Friday 6th November 1998, and has continued to index the Wednesday Herald ever since.

4

Anne Matthews

Anne commenced following our call for extra volunteers when Joyce Ryerson gave us her bundle of notices to index. Anne's first data was submitted on 25 August 1999. Since then, Anne has continued with back-indexing, and now also indexes the Cowra Guardian and Glen Innes Examiner from their websites.

5

Bill Shute

Bill commenced indexing his local paper, the Lithgow Mercury with his first submission made on 10 Feb 2001. He continued to index until taking on the role of Back Indexing Co-Ordinator in 2008, continuing in this role until 2011 when he retired for health reasons, although still remaining on the Committee.
